Tsunami deluge

This weekend couldn’t have started any worse.  The devastation caused by the 9.0 earthquake in Japan, followed by tsunami conditions was the heartbreaking picture that people all over the world had to watch since Friday.  The catastrophe struck catching everyone off guard.

On the same day we saw the aftermath of another tsunami that hit Hawaii and the California coast although the damage was nowhere close to the havoc that invaded the Japanese landscape.

Obviously, Japan post-tsunami is drastically changed after the wrath of Mother Nature.  Extensive cosmetic repairs are not only needed to get it back in shape, but missing citizens need to be accounted for.  It’s amazing how mere seconds in the day can change calm to chaos.

Those of us who live on safer grounds should be thankful for the Divine protection we’re blessed with.  Someone above looks out for us and keeps us out of harm’s way.  We should be extremely grateful for this gift.

Today more than ever, we need to get down on our knees and pray.  Earthquakes and tsunamis come to remind us that life is very fragile.  We should learn to live each new day as though it were our last.  Doing so, we’ll value every waking minute, cherish more the people in our lives and do our best to propagate love and goodwill.

Dear Jesus, thank You for keeping us in Your loving care.
