For many Roman Catholics the world over, the Message of Fatima has held a spell over our religious subconscious for many generations.
According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secrets_of_Fatima, "The Three Secrets of Fátima consist of a series of visions and prophecies allegedly given by an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three young Portuguese shepherds, Lúcia Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto, starting on 13 May 1917. The three children claimed to have been visited by a Marian apparition six times between May and October 1917. The apparition is now popularly known as Our Lady of Fátima."
Below is a piece I have copied from my high school website. It unveils the Third (and final) Secret which the Vatican had tried to keep from the faithful for ages to prevent causing public panic. With every level of devastation that is going on around us, this is a good time to pause, read the Blessed Mother's Message, and do our best to heed the appeals contained. Living in peace and security is a collaborative effort. Let's set ourselves up for a fearless existence by doing our part to make our world a better place!
